OCHS Owls Cheerleaders

I knew just what I wanted to create when I received this cool line of owl paper and embellishments by Sassafras Lass for some Design Team projects. Since our Owsley County mascot is of course the owl my niece's cheerleading photos were just the perfect subject matter. I hand cut the owls and created the branches from the matching stamps. I used some of the circle embellishments for the Os in the title. Wish our cheerleaders luck as they have their competition on Saturday.

Sleeping Beauty

This is one of my favorite layouts that I have created recently. The patterned paper is from Bo Bunny. I used AC Thickers for the title, Prima flowers, black buttons, Jenni Bowlin journaling cards and Doodlebug Dream stamp. I hadn't used the sewing machine in awhile, so I decided to pull it out for this project. I did a zig zag stitch up the side of the title strip with black thread and then hand stitched the half circle. This photo of Marley was taken Christmas morning after she was worn out from getting up early to see if Santa came.

Go Cats!!!

We discussed on an IRW conference call about getting back to basics and scrapping with just cardstock as a way for many to continue to scrap during this economic crunch. We don't always need the latest and greatest in scrapbooking supplies to make awesome layouts! So, here is a layout as a sample of just that. I used Bazzill Blue Jean and Black cardstock, my Wishblade to creat the title, a few flowers and brads, a Maya Road calendar turn and chipboard scallop piece inked with black and a UK Wildcate I printed off the web. I created the scallop edge with the Fiskars Threading Water punch and added glitter to my title to give it a little bling.

Here are a couple more layouts I created with MME papers, frames and embellishments. The flowers are from Prima and the brads are from Doodlebug's Boutique line. Can you tell Marley loves her Aunt Micki, Aunt Lynn, cousin Charis and of course her Mommy!

Here are just some quick and simple layouts I did of Marley doing two of her favorite things at Nannie's house which are making dumplings and playing in boxes. The patterned paper is by MME.

Fairest Of Them All

I was lucky enough to receive the entire Fairest Of Them All Collection by Imaginisce to work with for some Xyron Design Team projects. I created these two layouts and castle album with this awesome line. My own princess Marley made for the perfect subject matter for this scrap job.

Winter Fun

Since we have had so much snow flying around so early this year in Kentucky it inspired me to created these winter pages of the first time Marley went sledding. The snowman emellishment on the page at the top was created using the base of the flip flop from the XPCS Vacation book. I thought he turned out rather cute. I used some snowflake buttons with the backs cut off so they would rest flat on the page to give it the "snowing" effect on the layout above. The other embellishments and papers are from My Mind's Eye. Love their products!

Here is another project with my XPCS Vacation book flip flop base snowman. I used him this time to create this cute card. I added a few of my left over snowflake buttons, hand cut him a hat, nose and arms, added a scrap piece of winter wonderland ribbon as a scarf and brads for his eyes, mouth and buttons. I used a piece of blue glitter paper from my DCWV Glitter Mat Stack and rub on letters from MM for the title. This is one of the projects I created to be used as a sample for Xyron when they present the XPCS on QVC New Year's Eve. So, if you are bored on New Year's Eve and have nothing else to do turn on your tv and watch QVC. I have created 3 other cards (baby, halloween, valentine) and a cool New Year's Eve layout that is a replica of Times Square. I hope they all make it on the show!

Here are a copy of other items I created with the My Mind's Eye products. One is the simple 2-4-6-8 bag. If you would like directions on how to create this just shoot me an email. The other is a Christmas card I created with some of my scraps. I always try to create a few cards from scraps when I have finished using patterned papers. It cuts down on my scrap stash and I always have cards on hand when I need to grab one quickly.
